Runes

There are 8 basic types of Runes in the game.
You can improve the potency of your Runes by combining two Runes of the same level and type in order to get one new Rune of a higher level. By repeating this process, you can upgrade Runes to a maximum Level of 12. The higher the Level of the Rune, the better the bonus it will grant to your forces once activated.

To combine Runes, go to your Rune Temple, open the "Combining Room" tab and choose the Runes you wish to combine. Click "Select" and they will appear in the "Combine Runes" section of the window. You will also be able to see the bonus you receive once the Runes are combined. Press "Combine" to produce the higher Level Rune. Note: You must upgrade the Rune Temple to use higher level Runes.

Once combined, the Rune will be immediately sent to the "Activation Room".

You can receive Runes by:
- purchasing the Rune Sacks with Runes at the Black Market within the "Items" tab, inside of which you'll find another tab marked "Runes"
- participating in Global Tournaments
- attacking or defending Battlegrounds
- through other game interactions.

All Rune Sacks acquired will be sent to the "Activation Room" within your Rune Temple, where you may open them and remove the Runes.

To use and store Runes, you must first build the Rune Temple. All Runes gained in the game are stored in the "Activation Room" at your Rune Temple. To view a Rune's attributes, simply place your cursor over it. To apply any Rune and benefit from its bonuses, simply place it into any open Activation Slot on the "Activation Board".
Caution! You must use a Spell of Unlocking to open additional Activation Slots.

Runes are permanent bonuses, and will not disappear from slots unless you decide to remove them.

You can only safely remove Runes of Level 5 or higher and return them to your "Activation Room" with the help of a special tool – the Removal Spell. This tool can be purchased at the Black Market. Removing the Runes of Level 5 or higher without the help of a Removal Spell (level 5-12) will result in the Rune being permanently destroyed! However, Runes of Levels 1-4 can be removed with the Removal Spell (level 1-4).

Keep in mind that there are three types of Removal Spells:
- The Removal Spell (level 1-4) is a permanent, undying Spell that can safely remove Runes of level 1-4.
-A Removal Spell (level 5-8) can safely remove Runes of Levels 5-8.
-A Removal Spell (level 5-12) can safely remove Runes of Levels 5-12

Note: Removal Spell (level 5-8) and Removal Spell (level 5-12) are single-use only and accordingly may be used to remove only ONE Rune.
